I have a love/hate relationship with the cops. At times I respect them for their courage and decision to help other people for a living and other times I can't stand the fuckers for busting my balls for something stupid like the tinted windows on my car or the fact my friend is taking a piss next to an abandoned warehouse in the middle of nowhere at 3am in the fucking morning.
The cops in this video probably fall in the later of these two categories. They must have nothing better to do down there as it takes not one, not two but three fat ass Krispy Kreme munching mofo's to strap a drunk female college student to a chair.
They go overboard about half way through after she gets out of the chair the first time. She's a stupid drunk girl why didn't they just leave her in the locked room to sober up? Turns out her dad is a state prosecutor; they are so fucked...

First of all let me say that Manny should look to Jesus to be saved.
That being said lets all remember that we are all just a hairs breadth away from having this happen to us. What ever happened to the days when the police were actually concerned with our welfare and not in the number of arrests that's attached to their files.
An intoxicated person deserves far more compasion and respect than this woman was shown. I'm sure they'll get what they so rightly deserve.
If she was just drunk, I would say they overreacted. However, seeing as she was threatening to kill herself, I find their actions quite reasonable. They were trying to strap her down to keep her from hurting herself.
What the correstions officials did was absolutely correct. For their protection they recorded her actions and their response, good for them. She was combative, refused to comply with the officers orders and was clearly under the influence of some substance. I hope that they are commended for a job well done.

(2) A law enforcement officer, or any person whom the officer has summoned or directed to assist him or her, is not justified in the use of force if the arrest is unlawful and known by him or her to be unlawful.

While in detainment, the subject was uncooperative and unruly. They restrained her to prevent injury to herself and quell her actions. She then escaped the chair and they had to use additional force to put her back in it. Within a containment facility, you never let the inmates run the house.
Frankly any reasonable person would never have ended up there. They would have co-operated with the officer upon response. Turned the music down and complied with the request.
Had an errant officer wrongly arrested her, then she should have gone in...called daddy and posted bail. The charge probably would have been quashed because of the father's status.
Personally, I'd place money on her being a impaired youngster who thought she didn't fall under the same rules as the rest of the citizenry.

Ever been bitten by a person or had to go through 2 years of blood tests for HIV infection because of contamination or needle stick? That's why jails use overwhelming force to subdue inmates.
Breathalyzer's do not detect PCP, Heroin, Wacky Stick, X, Huff or Haze... doesn't necessarily need to be drunk to be under the influence and disorderly
First off, Cops do suck on the whole. They have a hard job and they take it out on the public usually and it is annoying. But....
These were not cops, they were Correctional Officers or more commonly, Guards. They get paid about 6-8 bucks an hour to do work that a 6 figure person would balk at and assuredly not do let alone want to even see. I worked in Corrections for a few years and it was more than long enough.
Basically, this was all caused by her not complying. All she had to do was cooperate and it would have all went smoothely. She wasn't cooperating therefore she was restrained. She was probably yelling and causing all the other prisoners/detainees to go wild and it was near riot situation. But since she is a snotty little bitch and thought her civil rights were being violated she didn't care about the other people working and being detained in the institution.
I have seen folks pepper sprayed and restrained for far less, believe me, and they deserved it in the moment. Also, I will bet money that the officers will be dealt with even though they don't deserve it and soon there will be more violent jail outbreaks and/or riots with politicians and liberals crying wondering why it is happening. How pissed do you think he will be right there on the spot? Now, let's take Mr. Absolutely to the county lockup and sling his butt into a human fish tank like they did to her. Now, when these alleged officers are drawing up her charges, they claim she's drunk or high...so, Mr. Absolutely Correct, is it unreasonable to demand a breathaylzer? Now that they have REFUSED to prove their claim, you are now being held for NOTHING. You don't think that wouldn't piss me or anyone else off?? Wake up dude!! Hell yes she was pissed, combative and would not comply- she was being held against her will and not being afforded the opportunity to preserve evidence to refute the bullshit charge! Had that been me, they would have had their hands full all night long- and pray that I didn't get an opportunity at ANY TIME to skull thump them for that kind of bullshit. They were operating OUTSIDE of their charge, therefore they were operating outside the law.
